  • The Christmas Shoebox Appeal is ongoing. Any filled shoeboxes can be left into the school office. Closing date for boxes is this Monday November 13th.
  • Children in classes from 3rd to 6th had a talk last Thursday on cyber safety with Barnardos. There was also a talk for parents with useful information on internet safety.
  • We are currently in a three week maths problem solving block.
  • Word from the North Pole tells us that Santa is due to visit Scoil Niocláis Naofa on Wednesday December 20th.
  • We will have a Christmas Carol Service on Thursday December 14th at 7p.m. in St. Nicholas of Myra church. Children from Junior Infants, 1st, 3rd and 5th classes will sing some carols on the night. Unfortunately due to lack of space we have to limit the number of classes performing.
  • A hurling blitz for 5th/6th class students took place on Thursday last in Kiltegan. Well done to all who took part and as always thanks to the parents who drove.
  • The book fair is due to arrive on Thursday 16th Children can purchase books from Friday 17th if they so wish. Parents are welcome to the fair in the mornings and evenings. The school will receive 60% of the value of books sold in the form of new books to restock our library and classrooms.
  • All classes have started a block of 7 weeks football coaching. Our thanks to Rachel Murtagh for doing the coaching.
  • Blessington Health centre will be with us this Tuesday to administer nasal flu vaccines to all children that have returned consent forms.
  • The school choir have been asked to sing at a Christmas concert in St. Nicholas of Myra church on Sunday evening December 17th with the Ballymore Concert Band at 7p.m. They have also been asked to sing at the turning on of the Christmas lights on 9th December…time to be confirmed.
  • Parent teacher meetings for children from Senior Infants to 6th class will take place on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th Times will be issued to parents shortly.

  • Please see message below regarding the Dunlavin and District Forum Christmas fair

Dunlavin and District Forum are delighted to be holding the largest Christmas Fair in West Wicklow with over 50 stalls taking part. Please come along on Sunday, November 26th to see the wonderful array of stalls. This year's fair will take place in St. Kevin's Community College and will run from 10am to 4pm.
