  • Junior infants will finish at 1.40 from this Monday 16th. As children have now settled well back into school we would ask that all parents of infants encourage their children to walk in from the door by themselves...
  • Reminder that school is closed on Monday September 30th.
  • County Photos will visit the school on Friday September 27th to photograph the children. Proofs of photos will be sent to each family but there is no obligation to purchase photos. If you do wish to buy the photos details will be sent with proofs.
  • The U11 footballers have a match this Tuesday in Crookstown against St. Lawrence’s at 11.00 am. We are looking for drivers to transport the children and will leave the school at 10.20. Please contact the office on 401495 if you are available to drive.
  • Reminder to parents to ensure your child’s (ren’s) names are on all items of clothing. A number of jumpers/tops have already been misplaced.
  • Speech and Drama and vocal music lessons begin this week and basketball continues. Payment is required before children attend. Reminders will be issued to those still to pay. As always if anyone has any problems please contact Michael Moran in confidence.

Lessons are as follows:

Drama €35 (Junior Infants, Senior Infants/1st/3rd/ Solas classes

Basketball €10 (2nd/3rd/6th, Solas senior)

Vocal music lessons €33 (2nd/3rd/4th/5th/6th)

Please note that these amounts are part of the school charges so are covered if charges have already been paid

  • Piano with Fiona from music generation will start this coming Tuesday Sept 17th. Guitar will start on September 24th. These lessons need to be paid for in advance as money needs to be sent to music generation.
  • 2nd/ 5th and 6th classes will begin a 4 week block of dance with Katie Charles on September 24th.
  • We would ask that money for school charges be placed in an envelope with the child’s name written on the outside. Receipts will be issued for all payments. Payment can also be made online at the following BIC and IBAN. Please reference your child’s name if you are paying by this method.

  • One of our teachers, Rónan Byrne, currently working in Solas, is running the Dublin City Marathon to raise money for much needed communication devices for some children in our school. He has set up an I donate page where people can donate to the cause. Alternately donations can be dropped into the school office or parish center. Please see poster attached for QR code if required.
