- This week is a reading week so there will be no written homework.
- Children can wear their own clothes or dress in Halloween costumes this Friday. We would ask that there are no props such as brooms/swords etc. brought in.
- The school will close on Friday October 25th at normal school times for Halloween. We will reopen on Monday 4th
- Well done to our 5th and 6th class boys’ football team that took part in a blitz in Donard last Friday. Thanks to the parents who drove also.
- The annual Cumann Na mBunscoil Cross Country event took place in Valleymount last Tuesday. Well done to all the boys and girls that took part and did so well.
- Proofs of photos from County Photos were sent home with the children last week. Details of available packages are in the envelopes. These can be ordered online or through the school office. Orders through the school must be in by this Wednesday October 23rd. After that they will have to be ordered online.
- This is fire safety week. Classes will do some lessons on fire safety and we will hold a fire drill during the week.
- We would ask all parents to refrain from parking in either school car park, or in the bus bay in the morning or evening. We would also ask you to remind children not to exit the school grounds through either car park for their own safety.
- Patrick Hunt will visit the school tis Wed/Thurs/Fri to work on nature lessons with the children.

- One of our teachers, Rónan Byrne, currently working in Solas, is running the Dublin City Marathon to raise money for much needed communication devices for some children in our school. He has set up an I donate page where people can donate to the cause. Alternately donations can be dropped into the school office or parish center. Please see poster attached for QR code if required. The marathon takes place on Sunday next. Best of luck to Rónan.
- Scouts are hosting a Halloween Fancy Dress Bingo Night in the Imaal Hall,
24th Oct, 7-8pm for ages 6-13yrs with lots of prizes!
