  • Following a very successful meeting last week the Parents Association are organising a cookbook fundraiser. All recipe ideas will be submitted by the children and the cookbook will be available for Christmas.

5th & 6th will do main courses

2nd, 3rd & 4th will do starters

Junior Infants, Senior Infants & 1st will do desserts/baking.

Please email recipes to by Wednesday, November 3rd.

Please include child’s name and class in email.

  • There are a couple of places remaining in the Dunlavin Strings programme. Please contact Tod Doyle at 085-8137033 or if interested.
  • We close at 12 o clock Friday for inservice for teachers.
  • Our greenschools committee are looking for 2 parent reps. Please contact the school office if you are interested.
  • Shoeboxes for Team Hope need to be brought in by midterm.
  • Enrolment for 6th class children wishing to attend St. Kevin’s Community College must be in by October 22nd.
  • Florence Grace, a past teacher in the school has written a lovely fairytale book for children. It costs €10 and all proceeds go to Solas. We have a few copies left in the school office if anyone is interested.
  • Western Gaels hurling club are running a winter league for Under-9s (children born 2012/2013) on the astro in Blessington from November 3rd from 6-7pm for 6 weeks. All new members most welcome.
