Newsletter November 9th November

We would like to thank everyone for keeping their social distance when dropping and collecting their children, both inside and outside the school grounds. Can we ask parents not to drop their children to school too early, particularly on wet mornings as with current restrictions we cannot allow them access to school until 9 o’ clock.

A big thank you to all for our latest no uniform day in aid of the students’ council. A sum of €181 was raised.

If your child is unwell, we would kindly ask that you don’t send them to school but rather contact your GP for advice.

If you need to drop something to the school (forgotten lunch etc.) please ring front door bell. Items can be left with principal/secretary.

We would ask that children bring a coat to school as we will be going out at break times unless it is pouring rain. Please make sure also that all your children’s items of clothing are labelled with their names.

We cannot accept any further orders for Christmas Annuals as our order has been lodged.

We would like to remind parents that the school car parks are for staff cars only. This applies also at collection time for students in St. Kevin’s Community College.

Reminder re music lessons: flute-Wednesday / piano-Wednesday / guitar-Thursday.

Sheena is here for basketball coaching each Tuesday. 5th and 6th classes have two more weeks of coaching before there is a change of classes.

Wicklow GDA Philip Campion starts a block of hurling coaching with 5th and 6th class each Monday.

The school Book fair is due to arrive on Nov 19th and will be with us for 2 weeks. Details next week.

We continue a 3 week block on maths problem solving this week.

This week is Science week.

The school path will be finished this week. Many thanks to Noel and Emily Lawler for supplying the stones and to Tad, our caretaker, for all his work.

We would like to remind parents about any outstanding school fees. Each child is covered by 24 hr accident insurance once fees are paid. If there is any difficulty please contact the principal.
