  • The bookfair was a huge success, many thanks to everyone for their support. Almost €2800 was raised. This will allow for the school to purchase €1680 worth of books for the school. Many thanks to 6th class and Christine for all their work and organization.
  • Photographs from County Photos were handed out last week.
  • Our Greenschools committee had a meeting last week and will be reminding all classes of the need to continue with good habits of energy saving, litter picking etc.
  • We had a fantastic day last Friday to celebrate 70 years of the school on its current site. A huge thank you to all concerned for having the school looking so well. A special thanks needs to go to the tour guides from 6th and 5th We hope that everybody enjoyed the chance to rekindle old memories and look at how much the school has changed in 70 years.
  • We will have a Christmas Carol Service on Thursday December 15th at 7p.m. in St. Nicholas of Myra church. Children from Junior Infants, 1st, 3rd and 5th classes will sing some carols on the night. Unfortunately due to lack of space we have to limit the number of classes performing.
  • Santa is due to arrive on Dec 20th.
  • Some children from 5th and 6th class will have a tag rugby blitz in Newbridge next Mon December 5th. If any parents are available to drive could they please contact their child’s teacher.
