  • We are seeking applications for the role of bus escort for our Solas bus. Anyone interested should submit a letter of application or contact Michael Moran for further details. The role is part time, 5 days a week (morning and afternoon) and subject to tax, PRSI etc. The successful applicant will be subject to Garda vetting. Closing date is Wednesday 29th.
  • This is a no homework week.
  • We will have a Christmas Carol Service on Thursday, December 14th at 7p.m. in St. Nicholas of Myra church. Children from Junior Infants, 1st, 3rd and 5th classes will sing some carols on the night. Unfortunately due to lack of space we have to limit the number of classes performing.
  • The Parents’ association are organising a Christmas movie night on Friday December 8th in Scoil Niocláis Naofa at 6.30 p.m. Children are asked to be in the school at 6.20 but not before. Cost is €5 and can be paid to Christine in the office.
  • Our 3rd and 4th class boys took part in a football blitz last Friday in Dunlavin and played very well. The 3rd and 4th class girls have a blitz this Friday December 1st in Baltinglass at 11am. If you are available to drive, please contact the school office.
  • Photographs from County Photos were distributed last week. The photographer will return to photograph anyone that was missed on Friday, 1st
  • The book fair raised €3115. A big thank you to the students from 6th class, Christine and Mrs. Moran for organising and running the fair. The school will earn a commission of €1869 in new library books for our school.
  • The school choir have been asked to sing at a Christmas concert in St. Nicholas of Myra church on Sunday evening December 17th with the Ballymore Concert Band at 7p.m. They have also been asked to sing at the turning on of the Christmas lights on 9th December…time to be confirmed.
  • We will have a visitor from the North Pole on Wednesday December 20th.
  • Parent teacher meetings for children from Senior Infants to 6th class will take place on November Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th. .Times were issued last week. Meetings are limited to a maximum of 10 minutes. If you need to discuss something further with your child’s teacher a further appointment can be made.
