- This is a no homework week.
- We will have a Christmas Carol Service on Thursday, December 11th at 7p.m. in St. Nicholas of Myra church. Children from Junior Infants, 1st, 3rd and 5th classes will sing some carols on the night. Unfortunately due to lack of space we have to limit the number of classes performing.
- A big thank you to the Parents’ Association for organising the Christmas Movie night last Friday in the school. Thanks to all the parents that helped on the night. A special thanks to Alan and Shirley Kealy for providing the popcorn and to DMB Autoworks and Liz Moore for providing the sweets and bars. Thanks also to Stephen Ward for providing the outside lights.
- A big thank you to the students from 6th class, Christine and Mrs. Moran for organising and running the book fair. We will have a final tally next week.
- We will have a visitor from the North Pole on Tuesday December 16th.
- Parent teacher meetings for children from Senior Infants, 1st, 3rd, 5th and 6th classes will take place on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th Times were issued last week. Meetings are limited to a maximum of 10 minutes. If you need to discuss something further with your child’s teacher a further appointment can be made. Meetings for 2nd class will be organised in due course. Junior Infant meetings will take place in February.

- The school choir have been asked to sing at a Christmas concert in St. Nicholas of Myra church on Sunday evening December 21st with the Ballymore Concert Band at 7p.m. They have also been asked to sing at the turning on of the Christmas lights on 6th December at 6.30 outside the playground. They have also been asked to sing in our local nursing home on December 17th. This very busy group of children are being looked after by Ms. Keogh, Ms. Flood and Mr .O Neill

- Dunlavin Cinema Club is hosting a Christmas movie in the Imaal Hall, November 30th at 4pm. Places are limited so please reserve your ticket with Noreen, 0863493410, entry is Euro 5 and this is in aid of the Dunlavin GAA Lip Sync
