• A huge thank you to everyone for your support for the shoebox appeal. Thanks also to Shona Birchall for organising the project. The boxes are now gone for transportation to their destination.
• We are currently in the last of a three week maths problem solving block.
• We will have a Christmas Carol Service on Thursday December 15^th at 7p.m. in St. Nicholas of Myra church. Children from Junior Infants, 1^st, 3^rd and 5^th classes will sing some carols on the night. Unfortunately due to lack of space we have to limit the number of classes performing.
• Scoil Niocláis Naofa is 70 years old this November on its current site. To mark the occasion we are inviting grandparents or people that may have been students in the school during its early years, to visit the school on Friday November 25^th at 1.30 p.m. to take a look around and rekindle old memories. There might even be a cup of tea and time for a chat! Thanks to the parents’ association for looking after the refreshments. If anyone is willing to come in to talk to some classes about their memories of the school in the early years they would be very welcome and might let us know in the office on 045401495.
• Well done the 5^th and 6^th class children who took part in a hurling blitz in Kiltegan on Friday last. A great time was had by all…..and the sunshine helped.
• Unfortunately we can no longer take orders for Folens Christmas Annuals.
• The book fair arrived last week and will be with us until Thursday next. Children from 6^th class will collect children from their classes each day if they wish to purchase books. Parents are welcome to the fair in the mornings and evenings. The school will receive 60% of the value of books sold in the form of new books to restock our library and classrooms.
• Reminder that tickets for Peace Proms are now on general sale and can be purchased by logging on to the Peace proms website.
• We would ask all parents to make sure that their child(ren) are wearing the correct uniform each day and correct school tracksuit on PE days.
