Newsletter November 16

We would like to thank the entire school community for their efforts with regard to social distancing and Covid protocols. Please keep up the great work.

If your child is unwell, we would kindly ask that you don’t send them to school but rather contact your GP for advice.

We are not taking any further orders for photos or Folens Annuals. Parents wishing to still order photos should contact the photographer directly.

Congratulations to Mia Cunningham who has won a prize in the Credit Union Art Competition.

We would like to remind parents that the school car parks are for staff cars only. This applies also at collection time for students in St. Kevin’s Community College.

Please note guitar lessons with Music Generation have been moved to Tuesdays.

Flute and piano lessons continue on Wednesdays.

Brass lessons with Mr. Brennan continue on Fridays.

Music Generation have requested the return of borrowed musical instruments from all children no longer attending lessons.

Sheena is here for basketball coaching each Tuesday. This week is the last week for 5th and 6th classes.

Wicklow GDA Philip Campion continues a block of hurling coaching with 5th and 6th class each Monday weather permitting. If children have their own hurl and helmet they may bring these to school.

A parent in our school is looking for a childminder. Please contact 086 8665010 directly if interested.

The school Book fair is due to arrive on Thursday and will be with us for 2 weeks. Children will be brought to the Fair in their classes/groups. A full list of available books will be emailed to all parents. Unfortunately this year we cannot allow parents access to the Book Fair but orders and payment can be sent in via the children. Older children will have an opportunity to write down details of books they may be interested in while teachers of younger children have said they will post photos on Seesaw of books that children like. The school will receive 60% of the value of books sold which we use to restock the school and class libraries.

We conclude a 3 week block on maths problem solving this week.

Please see our twitter page for photos of activities from our science week and maths problem solving block.
