  • Work has been uploaded on our website and will also be given via Seesaw for those classes using that platform. The work will cover the period from June 8 to June 19. We will not issue any work after that date. Again we really appreciate the huge amount of work both parents and children have done over the past months. There has been a very high level of engagement with the work given and the teachers really appreciate all your efforts.
  • The school will be open on Monday June 8 from 10-12 noon should parents wish to collect copies, books etc.
  • The school will be open on Monday week June 15 from 10am to 1pm. School reports will be available for collection during those hours. Parents should call to their child’s classroom and while picking up the reports they should also take home anything belonging to their child. We would also be grateful if book rentals could be returned. These books include My Read at Home/Leigh sa Bhaile (1-6 classes), the New Suit and Rocket readers (1st class),Planet Maths(4-6 class). History Quest, Geography Quest (3-6 classes), Oxford Readers (Inf-2nd class), Sails(Infant classes), Am don Leamh (3-6), Exercise your English(3-6) and library books from the town and school libraries.

  • The Natural History Museum in Dublin have created a virtual school tour which might be of interest for students from 3-5th Please click on the link attached to take the tour.
  • We are not able to inform you about class teachers for the coming year at present. This information will be communicated to you in early July. John O’Donnell and Margaret McMahon will return to the staff next year after taking career breaks. Paula Meehan and Serena Conroy will be taking career breaks for the coming year. Geraldine Whyte will not be returning in September as she is retiring at the end of this current year. A new principal will be appointed in July and will replace Tommy Brennan when he retires in October.
  • We plan to open the next school year on Thursday August 27 for all mainstream classes and on Friday August 28 for Solas.

  • The Government made an announcement regarding educational provision for certain children over the summer months. We have not been given any information on this and are unable to advise parents as to what this proposal entails.
