Parent Teacher meetings take place on Wednesday 8th and Thursday, February 9th. Times have been sent home.

Some children from 5th and 6th classes travel to Hacketstown on Wednesday 1st Feb to take part in a football blitz. We would remind children to have shorts, socks, boots and gumshields and to bring €5 to help cover the cost of the bus. This money can be given to Christine in the office from Monday on.

40 children from our school will travel to the RDS on Saturday Feb 4th to take part in Peace Proms. This is a fabulous opportunity to sing with other children from all parts of Ireland accompanied by a full orchestra. A note in relation to the event has been given to all participating children. Thanks to Ms. Keogh and Ms. Boland for all their work preparing the children.

There is hurling training every Thursday after school with Mr. Byrne for children from 4th, 5th and 6th classes.

There will be football training for 4th/5th and 6th class boys this Tuesday Jan 31st after school ending at 3.45. This training will be on Wednesdays from next week on.

As part of our school evaluation process we are looking for parents thoughts on the effect of COVID-19 on their children over the last number of years. Attached is a link to a short survey and we would be very grateful if you could take the time to complete it. We will run the survey for one more week.

We are delighted that our school has been selected to participate in the Safe Routes to School programme. Safe Routes to School is designed to enable students to safely walk, cycle and scoot to school. At the moment the environment on the approaches to our school can be very busy and this is a chance to see if something permanent can be done to rectify the situation.

As part of the initial phase of this programme, the Safe Routes to School Team would like to gather information on how our students travel to school and where they start their journey.

Your input is needed to help create a safer school environment therefore, we are asking all parents to complete the short survey by February 3rd.

Survey: https://arcg.is/zaqOL0

The survey can be done on a smart phone or a computer.

There is an instructional video available here if you need audio assistance in filling in the survey.
