NEWSLETTER – Monday 29th January 2024

Parent Teacher meetings take place for Junior Infants on Wednesday, February 7th . Times have been sent home.

There is hurling training every Tuesday after school with Mr. Byrne for children from 4th, 5th and 6th classes.

There will be football training for 4th/5th and 6th class boys this Wednesday Jan 31st after school ending at 3.45. This training will be on each Thursday going forward.

Drama will begin for 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th classes from Feb 7th... Payment is due for these classes and letters will issued this week in relation to these drama lessons. The cost is covered for all whose school charges are paid in full.

Reminder for 6th class parents and children that the entrance exam for St. Kevin’s Community College will take place this Wednesday evening at 7pm.

Reminder that the closing date for applications for Junior Infants/Solas is February 1st.

Lisa Carroll will be starting a self- esteem programme with children in 6th class on Tuesday this week. It will continue for 6 weeks.

We received notice during the week that the school will be closed on Friday March 8th as it is to be used as a polling station for the referendum.

Well done to both our junior and senior teams that took part in the Credit Union Quiz on Friday last in Baltinglass.

5th and 6th classes will begin a buddy reading block this week with 1st and 2nd classes.
