NEWSLETTER – Monday 10^th February 2025

• We are appealing to parents to respect the parking zones, bus and drop zones outside the school. Parents should not use the bus parking zone to drop children in the mornings 8.45am-9.15am or to pick up in the evening. Please be careful at the zebra crossing as not all motorists respect that crossing.
• Reminder that school will be closed for mid-term break on Thursday and Friday Feb 20^th and 21^st.
• We would like to remind all parents that the school and its grounds are a strictly no smoking/vaping area.
• Letters with offers for Junior Infants and other school places for the coming year will be posted this Wednesday. Acceptance notes must be returned by February 28^th.
• Well done to our Junior and Senior teams that took part in the Credit Union Quiz on Friday last
• We would like to appeal to all parents to make sure their children arrive for school on time each morning. School starts at 9am for all classes. If a child is absent for any reason a note should be given to their class teacher so this can be recorded on our attendance system. Once a child is absent for 20 days we are obliged to make a referral to the TESS which is run by Túsla. When a child reaches 20 days parents will be notified.
• The Parents’ Association are holding a table quiz in The Fox and the Bunditch on Thursday February 27^th. Tables of 4 cost €40 and tables can be reserved by contacting the school office on 045401495. All proceeds will go towards the relining of the school yard for games etc.
• The Board of Management meet this Tuesday night at 8.30pm.
• Reminder that outstanding school charges should be paid by February 28th
• Hurling training for 4^th/5^th/6^th won’t take place with Mr. Byrne this Wednesday.as there is a staff meeting
• There will be senior football training for 4^th/5^th/6^th class boys on Tuesday finishing at 3.45.
