Newsletter December 2nd 2024

• Applications for Junior Infants for 2024/25 will be accepted from January 1^st to February 1^st Application forms can be found on our school website under the information tab or by contacting the school office on 045401495.
• Our Carol Service with Junior Infants, 1^st, 3^rd and 5^th classes will take place on Wednesday December 11^th at 7pm in St. Nicholas of Myra Church.
• Our choir have been asked to sing at the turning on of the Christmas Lights next Friday December 7^th at 6pm outside the playground.
• The Board of Management will meet this Tuesday evening at 8.30pm.
• Our Students’ Council met last week and will be working on a few ideas before Christmas. We also have a new creative council with children from 3^rd to 6^th The school is part of a creative cluster with schools in Ballymore Eustace and Manor Kilbride. The children on the council are currently designing postcards which they will send to these schools.
• The school choir will sing at 10am Mass in St. Nicholas of Myra Church on Christmas Day.
• Reindeer food is available in all classrooms. Cost is €1. Proceeds in aid of Solas.
• Congratulations to Karen Raleigh and her family on the birth of baby Ted last week.
• Please make sure that children have coats/hats etc. for going outside in this cold weather. Please make sure names are on all items.
• Thanks to all parents who attended the Parent Teacher meetings last week. As always please feel free to contact the school office at any stage if you have any queries or concerns.
• We will have a visitor from the North Pole on Wednesday December 18^th.
• Children from the choir involved in Peace Proms will travel to the National Arena Blanchardstown on December 11^th to take part in a rehearsal for the Peace Proms which will take place on Sat Feb 1^st.

Get Crafty this Christmas

The Green Schools Committee invites all children to design a CHRISTMAS TREE DECORATION out of RECYCLED materials.

There are prizes on offer. Closing date December 4^th. Leave your entries with Ms. Dunne by Wednesday December 4^th.
