  • We would ask that children do not exchange Christmas gifts or cards in school as this can cause upset to those not included.
  • Santa will visit the school on Dec 18th.
  • Thank you to all the children and teachers who took part in our carol service last Wednesday. It was a lovely night and the children received many compliments on their singing.
  • During cold and wet weather we would ask that all children bring coats/hats/gloves to school and please make sure they have your child’s name on them. If at all possible children will be going outside at break times.
  • Our school hurling team played against Tyknock in Kiltegan on Thursday last. Well done to all involved and thanks to Mr. Byrne for all his work with the hurlers.
  • Reminder that school will close for Christmas holidays on Friday 20th December at 12 noon and reopen on Monday January 6th.
  • Applications for Junior Infants and Solas for 2025/26 will be accepted from January 1st to February 1st Application forms can be found on our school website under the information tab or by contacting the school office on 045-401495.
  • We have been asked to close on Wednesday January 22nd to facilitate a training day for the New Maths Curriculum for all our teachers.
  • We will hold a Christmas jumper/non uniform day on Wednesday, December 18th. We would ask that all children bring in a small donation in aid of our local St. Vincent de Paul.
  • The school choir will perform with the Ballymore Brass band in St. Nicholas of Myra Church on Sunday evening December 22nd at 7pm. Special guest is Rory Dunne (professional opera singer and brother of our own Eilise Dunne). A donation of €10 per adult is payable at the door. Children are free.
  • The choir will also sing at the 10am Christmas Day Mass and in the nursing home on Thursday 19th Thanks to Ms. Keogh, Mr. O Neill and Ms. Flood for all their work with the choir.
  • We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you as parents and guardians for the help and support you give us in the school and to wish all our children, parents and school community a very happy, healthy Christmas.
  • 12th Wicklow Scouts are holding a Christmas disco on Friday 20th December from 7-9pm in the Imaal Hall. €5 entry. All welcome.
