Newsletter December 15th 2025
· We would ask that children do not exchange Christmas gifts or cards in school as this can cause upset to those not included.
· Santa will visit the school this Tuesday, December 16th.
· Thank you to all the children and teachers who took part in our carol service last Thursday. It was a lovely way to start the Christmas season.
· During cold and wet weather we would ask that all children bring coats/hats/gloves to school and please make sure they have your child’s name on them. If at all possible children will be going outside at break times.
· Reminder that school will close for Christmas holidays on Friday 19th December at 12 noon and reopen on Monday January 5th.
· Applications for Junior Infants and Solas for 2026/27 will be accepted from January 1st to February 1st 2026. Application forms can be found on our school website under the information tab or by contacting the school office on 045-401495.
· We will hold a Christmas jumper/non uniform day on Tuesday, December 16th. We would ask that all children bring in a small donation in aid of our local St. Vincent de Paul.
· The school choir will perform with the Ballymore Brass band in St. Nicholas of Myra Church on Sunday evening December 21st at 7pm. Special guest is Rory Dunne (professional opera singer and brother of our own Eilise Dunne). A donation of €10 per adult is payable at the door. Children are free.
· The choir will also sing at the 10am Christmas Day Mass and in the nursing home on Wednesday 17th December. Thanks to Ms. Keogh, Mr. O Neill and Ms. Flood for all their work with the choir.
· We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in our school community for your constant support on a daily basis. We wish you all a happy, healthy and peaceful Christmas and every good wish as we head towards 2026.
