- Congratulations to the 29 children that made their First Holy Communion on Saturday. Thanks to Aoife Slattery for her work in preparing the children and to Sinead Keogh for providing music on the day. Thanks also to Fr. Douglas for all his work.
- Our Junior Infants will go home this week at 1.40pm.
- Many thanks to all parents for your co-operation with the systems put in place for children coming to and going from school. Everything has worked out very well and the children have settled very well into school life and Covid preventative procedures. If parents have any queries or need to contact the school please send an email to snndunlavin@gmail.com or phone the school on 045401495 or call to the front door and ring the door bell. All visitors must sign our contact tracing log located just inside the front door.
- If children are absent for any reason could you please send a note to the class teacher.
- Best wishes to last year’s 6th classes who make their Confirmation this Saturday.
- We would like to remind parents to send in coats with the children as we will be going out at break times if at all possible. We would also ask parents to label each child’s clothes as some items have gone missing already.
- We have been advised that the school will need to close for two half days to allow inservice for staff in relation to the Primary Language Curriculum. These will take place on Wednesday September 29th and Friday October 15th. The school will close at 12 noon on both of these days.
- Each teacher has now set up Seesaw (online learning platform) for each child in their classes. Teachers will be in touch in relation to this.
- Basketball begins for 2nd/5th and 6th classes on Wednesday this week. Children should wear their PE tracksuits and runners for this. These lessons need to be paid for in advance.
- A vocal programme begins this week in 2nd/3rd/4th/5th and 6th classes with Ailbhe from Music Generation. Again these lessons need to be paid for in advance.
- Drama lessons begin for Senior Infants/3rd and 4th on Wednesday and for Solas and 1st class on Thursday. These lessons are €35 and need to be paid for in advance.
- All school fee payments must be paid in an envelope with the child’s name written on the outside and an indication of what the fees are covering also written on the outside of the envelope. Receipts will be issued for all payments. Payment can also be made online at the following BIC and IBAN. Please reference your child’s name if you are paying by this method.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
Tod Doyle here from Music Generation Wicklow. We are recommencing our 'Dunlavin Strings' after school violin program in SNN Dunlavin. This program is open to any student in the West Wicklow area that is interested in learning the Violin/Fiddle. It will cover a broad spectrum of genres on the Violin from trad to classical and contemporary music.
We now have an excellent tutor in Lisa Lazenby who has vast experience in both education and performance. ( See Lisa's bio below)
The program will run on Wednesdays after school from 3 - 5.30 in Scoil Nicolas Naofa.
The cost / Year is €200 which will include 28 x 30 min group lessons throughout full school year.
Violins can be rented from us at the cost of €30/year.
