  • We appeal to parents to continue to be vigilant if your child is displaying any of the symptoms below and not to send children to school if they are unwell.

Common Covid symptoms include:

Fever, Cough, Tiredness, Loss of taste or smell

Less common symptoms include:

Sore throat, Headache, Aches and pains, Diarrhoea, A rash on skin, Red or irritated eyes

  • New guidelines regarding antigen testing in schools are being introduced from tomorrow. Letter was sent to all parents Friday.
  • We are awaiting guidance from the Department of Education on the wearing of masks in school.
  • The bookfair was a huge success, many thanks to everyone for their support. We will have a final tally next week.
  • Photographs can only be ordered on line now, County Photos are offering free delivery for the next week.
  • Our Greenschools committee are running a competition to co-incide with a 'day of action' on December 3rd. Children are invited to make a piece of art using recycled materials. It must be based on the theme of 'Global Citizenship and waste' Ideas could include models of buildings, statues, animals or flags from another country. Entries must be in by December 1st.
  • Huge thanks to parent Shana Moore who has acquired 2 Orchards of fruit trees for our school through DC for bees initiative. This is part of the All Ireland pollinator plan. Our greenschools committee will plant these trees tomorrow.
